Wild Wild Wet
is nothing short of fun and fun, and more fun!
Ok la, I was enthusiastic about it cos’ it is my virgin experience in the water park :) The best thing was we didn’t have to fork out a single cent for it. Dear and I were entitled a free coupon that admitted pairs when we booked the chalet for New Year Countdown :)
We got ourselves sun burnt and adrenaline rushed for that 3 hours we spent playing at Wild Wild Wet. We experimented with all different sorts of slides that come in different forms and twists, played with the water cannons at the playground, swayed along with the momentum of the man-made waves at Tsunami, and relaxed by the Jacuzzi, and the Shiok River that scaled the perimeter of the water park.
The highlight was Slide Up, being the most thrilling and aggressive ride of all. The terrifying slope is in an almost perfect U-shape! Dear and I could feel ourselves nearing the state of freefall when we plunged down that super duper steep ramp and skimmed across on the opposite side. We screamed at the top of our voices. How cool, or rather, scary the ride was! Definitely not for the faint-hearted :s

Despite being worn-out from the fun, we caught Inkheart at E-hub’s Cathay after that. We had been splurging on movies for 2 consecutive days. Watched The Duchess yesterday. It was a great European movie (: Highly recommended! Inkheart’s not bad too (:

Three Golden Years
3 years ago, I did the most memorable on his birthday; I grabbed his hand out of the blue, gave him his so-called my ‘million-dollar’ worth of smile, and chirped, “Let’s go official.”
During these 3 years we were together, we held our hearts close to each other despite all the storms we had to go through.
3 years for now, and he’s still faithfully sending me back home safely after every date we had, though we stay two far points apart from each other in Singapore.
Happy 3rd Official Anniversary to us, and
Happy Birthday, my love!

Driving Stunt
I’m getting better at my sense of directions. At least, I’ve improved on my map reading skills :)
My adventurous streak led me to venturing a totally unfamiliar route along Seletar Expressway, and seeking my bearings at Yishun area. I was supposed to pick dear up outside his camp after his ippt, but somehow, we just couldn’t hit on a common entrance of the camp. Suffice to say, the camp is simply too big. Under such circumstance, I would normally freak out. Cos’ I fear driving alone at a stranger place, and worst, getting lost at it. But I was glad to have remained calm; I stopped at the roadside, browsed through the Street Directory to locate both of us in the area, and tried to steer towards his direction. In the end, I picked him up outside some secondary schools.
And here comes the ‘gangster’ driving stunt. It did not occur to that I had been performing an extremely dangerous act (or an offence) when I drove us from Yishun to NUS. Not till I stopped the car at the red light along Queensway area that leads me to AYE.
While waiting for the light to turn green, the driver of the car in front of mine exited from his car out of the blue. We wondered what this crazy man was doing. Looking a tad stern, the man was hand-signalling frantically at me. I was shell-shocked. I thought it was an accident at first and he signalled for me to stop for investigation. But on a closer look, my car was stopped at a safe distance from him, so that couldn’t be the case.
Suddenly, something struck me.
I FORGOT to turn on my car’s headlights. OHMYGOD. So all the while, I had been driving a car that almost camouflage into the night darkness (never mind the dimly-lit street lamps). Though I was quite taken aback the man specially came out of his car only to gesture me to turn on my headlights, I truly appreciate his kind intention :) It’s superbly unsafe to drive at night without the headlights of your car turn on.
Lesson learnt: I must REMEMBER to turn on my car’s headlights when I drive at night! Sadly, I have the tendency to forget. But I’ll remind myself. REMIND REMIND REMIND. Maybe friends who sit in my car at night can help too! (:

RANDOM THOUGHTS
My FYP first draft to my prof this Thurs. After researching for the past few months, my groupmates and I finally churned up an essay on the topic. Quite happy :) But hope nothing goes too wrong after the first review. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Recently, I was quite frequently updated on FB, on who and who got married. I realised I have reached the age when I keep hearing wedding bells of my peers ringing in my vicinity. But am truly happy for my friends who got hitched! May their marriage be blissful, which I’m sure they’ll be :)
My wedding? Haha. I wonder when that day will come though we’ve been planning and discussing about it. But before that, we need to earn money to build our nest first :)

My Future Baby Boy
Eh. I can't believe this is how my future boy will look like!!!

Quite a fun website to see how your future baby will look like. I tried 'making' a baby girl. But the result was horrible. OOPS.

A Review and a Fresh Start
2008 came and went in a flash.
Highlights of 2008 as follows:
1. Great concert with Mr Tan @ NUSWS.
We Planet Earth-ed and Extreme Makeover-ed. Though he is leaving the band for his further studies, I will always keep with me the fond memories he shared with us and his great teachings.
2. My Entrepreneurship Minor DONE.
My first ever ‘ChickStop’ Pasar Malam business with Quatrett Group at AMK, followed by a presentation to share our experiences with the later batches. I thanked Mr Chiam and Susan for their encouragement and faith in me for the minor. I would have dropped the minor othewise.
3. My first short getaway with dear to Jakarta, Indonesia...
After dear managed to persuade my parents to give us the green light. Attended his Dip. in Clarinet graduation ceremony there.
4. Friendship woes.
Either I get to know my friends better or they have changed. Whichever it is, I appreciated my friends even more and learnt to be a sincere friend to others.
5. My first birthday celebration...
@ Hotel Re, and with NUSWS Clarinet section @ Swensens, Chinatown point. I thanked dear for making the celebration a memorable one. =D
6. Had a great internship with a bank,
where I got my future workplace opportunity from. I was invited for a dinner with the bosses, the dept’s dnd and their charity fair. I must say I am lucky to have everything worked out well for me.
7. I lost my cousin.
But wherever she is now, I wish her well. =)
8. Gained independence in driving. FINALLY!
9. My first getaway with friends to KL, Malaysia.
10. I maintained my CAPS.
11. Co-organized Chalet cum BBQ with dear for NY Countdown celebration with NUSWS Clarinet section.
Dear and I thanked all who turned up for the event; Ruixiang, Khee Nguen, Jin Xun, Xian Wei, Teng Wen, Cloud, Xinhui and Chuanxin. Though there weren’t many people, we all had a fun time ushering in 2009 with 2 rounds of BBQ, sharing horror and funny stories and watching ‘A Beautiful Mind’ on Channel 5 and La Bi Xiaoxin cartoon (courtesy of Xinhui who brought the VCD).
Things to look forward to in 2009:
1. My graduation in July
2. Grad trip to ??? (Still planning..)
3. My very first permanent job in a bank
4. First concert with Prof Ho @ NUSWS
While keeping in mind my New Year’s Resolutions:
1. To be a BETTER person.
2. To KEEP my NY Resolution.
It's easy to come up with a NY Resolution, but a challenge to keep it.
