Catch-up with Sec Sch friend

Caught up with Hidayah last Sat who just returned from her summer prog cum grad trip at Scandivanian Countries (: It was great to see her again, talking about our plans after grad, her trip to European countries, my internship exp etc etc.. And she bought me a belated birthday gift from Norway! Wow! Thanks loadss gal! It was an exquisite yet meaningful gift and I truly truly appreciate it (: Though my close sec sch friends only left with a handful(excluding my band friends), I sincerely treasure them. It's not easy to come across friends whom you can keep for many years, sharing different stages of your life experiences. I'll never forget how Hid and I talked abt our ambitions when we were in Sec Sch through our JC days, and still didnt know what we want to do next time. Now she's graduated and already dishing out resumes looking for a job! And I'm going into my final yr in uni knowing more or less what I want for myself next time after I graduate. (: In short, time flies (my fav phrase indeed but it's true)! Time may have changed everything around us but it'll never change our friendship for each other (:

Summer Internship

In a twinkling of an eye, my internship has come to an end! I saw loads, heard loads and experienced loads. Am rather satisfied with this structured internship programme, especially the Presentation portion, which took place at a Conference Room on Wed. In that presentation, we got to learn about how other dept functions and the experiences my fellow interns gained from having attached to the different divisions in the bank. We also had the opportunity to give feedback to our sup and HRMs about the internship prog. thru this presentation.

My internship experience was rewarding. I really thank my boss, sups, colleagues and fellow interns for making this learning journey a memorable one (:

Mus'art Wind Orchestra - Andalucia

After my 3-day Pasar Malam stint, I didnt take a breather before getting on the stage at SCH to perform Andalucia under the baton of Maestro Derek Bourgeois. (Ooh! I got his signature. haha.)

A 75-min world premier composition, Symphony No 41 that showcases the Maestro's impressions of the 8 provinces of Andalucia, Spain in 8 different movements. Somehow I feel like visiting these places after playing the piece. Haha.

Coincidentally, I heard that Spain won the Euro Cup 08. This performance could be considered as a celebration for their victory I suppose? >_<

Eventful July...Particularly the first week.

Yes, after hearing me talking so much abt it, my group finally did our Pasar Malam at AMK! We gained a sea of knowledge about business acumen; One skill I should say a budding entrepreneur would only appreciate when he/she operates a real business venture. No matter how detailed and comprehensive we had done for our planning, we still met with unforseen glitches that hindered our normal operation. However, this is when we learnt to think fast and come up with innovative solutions to tackle with the problems, and be quick to adapt.

I've to admit this is the toughest module of all. Ironically, it is the best. (:
