@6:23 AM
Sometimes..
how I wish..
that my school timetable is nicely planned out for me.
In this way, I didnt hav to take all the troubles to run thru the following steps:
i)Read thru the list of subjects offered
ii)Think it thru thoroughly my preferences
ii)Check the examination date for the subjects I gonna take
iii)Plan my timetable to ensure zero clashes in the lesson and exam timing of any subjects I'm registering for.
before I matriculate..
*La La Land one...
*La La Land two...
*La La Land three........
SIM HWEE LEE!! WAKE UP!! You're already grown-up! Get it?
No longer are you a primary or secondary school kid, enjoying all these little spoon-feedings from your tutors!
*Back to reality pls*
Oh ya..how could a Nineteen-year-old me who's going to start my tertiary education in jus a few days' time still harbour such wishful thinking on my part? Gosh. This is ridiculous.
Anyway, I'm glad that I've got the whatever Prescribed and Unrestricted electives done once and for all on my very first day of matriculation. Good to be freed of these troubles early so that I cld now sit back and relax, awaiting for the outcome of the subjects I've registered for.
Through this matriculation experience, I've learnt to be more independent and understand that it's important for me to take the initiative to do all the necessary research for the subjects that I wanna take. It's not going to help if I wait for others to guide me what to do. Cos' I feel that it always the best to receive first-hand info first-hand, rather than to be a third-party recipient.
On the hindsight, I've actually made a wise decision by not attending Hall FOC due to the unexpected complication involved in registering for my electives. It takes me quite some time to see the light of it when I thought I've already understood the entire process initially.
Well..anyhow, what I have to do now is to wait for the 'Add/Drop subjects' period to come so that I cld make the necessary changes to my timetable.
Frankly speaking, the whole registration procedure is quite troublesome. During these three days' span of matriculation, I cld only register the electives from my Humanities and Social Sciences school. If I wanna take any electives from other schools, I gotta wait till the coming Monday when the 'Add/Drop subjects' period starts to do. Tt's why besides the 3 core that I've registered for currently, I secured my other 2 subjects by taking 'Introduction to Psychology' as my General elective and 'Introduction to HR' as my Prescribed. However, I might wan to drop the former if there are vacancies in 'Business Finance', cos' ultimately I wanna take Business as my minor, and Buz Finance is one of my core minor subjects. All these adjustments I gotta entrust my bro to help me do so since I'll be away on Monday. Yeah..thanks Bro! Na jiu pai tuo ni le.=)

Oh my goodness, I've weird dream last night about WMC!! -DotS- The dream was messy. It jumped from one scenario to another and I've absolutely no idea what's exactly happening. But one thing for sure, it's a bad! *Pray Hard hard* that it doesnt come true. =/
By the way, so sweet of you Liu Zhiming for the dedication on your blog! It reads:

So many decisions to make. So much opportunity cost to incur. When will this end?
Never-ending.
Feeling rather sad to sacrify Hall X camp. *Big Sigh* Already I was such geared up for it, but I chose to abandon it at the eleventh hour. =<
Mus'art fund-raising concer at Jurong Green CC yesterday had somehow or other drained me off. Din expect it to drag till 11.00pm with all the Holland trip briefing and stuffs. I seriously think that the latter cld have been done before the marathon performance so tt it wld not delay dismissal time. Consider pple who live in the East and the dinner only ended at around 10.20pm! Plus clearing of stage and keeping of our instru, and all the waiting time whatever, I didnt reach home till 12 midnight. Thanks to Cheng Huat's dad who gave us a lift all the way to our doorsteps, I wldnt dare to think how late my mom had to stay up till just to see tt I was home safely. -DotZ- I dun understand why everything is done at the last minute when I believe it cld have been settled earlier. =/
Enough said.
***
Partly because I was too worn-out yesterday night, in addition to my mom's advice that it's time for me to take a good rest before the trip(although she encourages me earlier to go if I wish to), I din really give a second thought to inform my GL tt I'm backing off from the hall camp. Guilt seeped through my tired bones cos' it was a superb late notice for my GL. Yes, I dun deny tt it was a very last minute decision. The scenario den went like the camp wld be commencing in eleven hours' time and there I was, sms-ing him tt I cldnt make it. Urgh. I felt bad about myself after tt.
*Humphz* Am going to discriminate this phrase 'last minute' from now onwards.
"Oh it was so sad..
it was so sad..
it was so sad when the big ship went down..."
Yah..it was so sad that I missed out the fun in the camp. *Haix*
A big big sacrifice indeed..(to me at least) but it is for a good cause.
I've been busy with lotsa things ever since I ended my work in May. And still, I'm busy right now with school, hostel and Holland trip preparations eventhough my long holiday is coming to a halt in a mere one week' time. Din expect myself to be such fully occupied this year, which explains all the necessary sacrifices cos' my prorities count lots. I cant afford to sway from my pink's health this week and the next 12 days in Netherlands. It gotta be hell days for me like tt. Tt's why I dun wanna tax myself with camp though I admit it's tempting. I want to be at my best at WMC, give my best shot on stage, and achieve the best result in the competition. NY poly can do it, FFO can do it(Of course! They're soo good lo!), why not Mus'art? Btw, congras to both orchestra for getting high scores of 86.92(Gold award) and 90.30 respectively. *Thumbs up*
*Counting down 5 days to Holland...=)

Hall 10 mass gathering was quite disorganised but at least I got to know my neighbours! ^-^
Arigato Gozaimasu Rainbow for accompanying me to the gathering. It's always beta to hav someone whom you're familiar with by your side in such stranger meeting.=)
When we reached the meeting point at City Hall, both of us were pretty lost admist the evening crowds. We were practically guessing which one belonged to ours before I knocked some sense out of me that there's this communication device called the 'Handphone'. Haha.
So I gave Daniel (my hall 10 senior) a ring and joined the rests of the people whom I assumed are freshies but are in fact not. Looks like Bow and I are the earliest though we were about 3-4 mins late. -_-||
No wonder these friendly guys and gals were rather enthusiastic to introduce themselves to me and Rainbow. Cos' freshies are usually characterized by their shy-shy nature, and wldnt have take such initiative to do so, unless they're asked to or probably compelled to (this is exemplified in my classic 'first three months' studies at NYJ' case when I was the one and only Haisian there. =/). Later den I realised that they are actually my Hall 10 seniors, each taking charge of different blocks.
And one thing I gotta share with u guys, especially the int'l WRM who's fond of yak-king and gossiping, that..
I've met...
KT's double!!! *Oh Goodness Gracious*
The percentage of his resemblance to Kelvin Tan is at least 90 percent k! -Dots- I cldnt believe it. His shiny oily hair, his golden-rimmed specs (well, I'm not sure whether KT has changed specs), his fair complexion, and his five senses esp. which share similarities with KT's. Only tt his face is shorter and wider unlike KT's bitter-gourd shaped face. But so far, I havent encountered the typical KT's 'aroma' from him. Oh well..better not cos' he's one of my block leaders! Argh.
[*Gosh..*I know I'm not doing this guy any justice only bcos he resembles the tenene KT. Apologies to this gentleman whom I'm referring to(forgot what's his name)!]
Anyway..
"Sherly, nice to meet you!"
It seems that fate brought us together right at the start of the gathering only for us to find out later that we're actually neighbours! What a coincidence! =D We're like staying side by side worr. =D
We clicked pretty well.. and chit-chatted lots. Btw, I've to thank her for the wonderful recommendation of Carl's Junior - A better substitute Rainbow and I discovered for Mac and Burger King's burgers . Although it's more expensive, I find that we've spent quite worthwhile on its sandwich due to the bigger serving.
Oh yeah, we gotta clean up our hostels together this sat too! Looking forward. =D
Unfortunately, Sherly will not be attending FOC this coming Monday due to her graduation trip to KL. *sob sob* But luckily, I got to know of a friend who's going- Amanda. She's staying in the same level as Rainbow and I..but am not sure which unit. Pray hard tt she is living in our neighbouring room too!
Having said so much, I have yet to reveal where Bow and I gonna stay-
We're in Hall 10, Block 52 - Level 6.
Yeah! I've been yearning for higher levels and we got it! =D
Right now, am pondering whether to attend the FOC. Ironic right? I sounded in my entry as if I'm ON with the camp. Frankly speaking, I'm still considering abt tt given the fact that it's 50 bucks and I'm attending only halfway! I suppose there's no such thing as paying half price ba. Oh Well. Anyway, most prob I'm going since mom encourages me to. =)

Awaiting an important call tonight after like so long...

A careless being I am...
Never ever imagine myself driving on the road.
Yet...
3 hrs ago, I was trying to glue my attention on a stretch of the less busy road and at the same time, working carefully with the pedals, gears and steering wheel of my tutor's newly-purchased car(I assumed).
It seems easy on the outside. However for a beginner like me, it's more of a struggle on the inside to coordinate my mind, hands and legs movements.
To me, driving closely resembles the playing of a piano.
When one performs on a piano, it's essential to divide her attention into reading of music scores, moving of the left and right fingers on the keyboard, as well as pedalling. Likewise in driving; Watching out for cars, pedestrains and direction on the raods, changing of gears, steering and pedalling a.k.a the clutch, brake and accelerator pedals respectively.
In my second driving lesson today, I'm glad that I've slowly gotten the hang of driving a car. At least I learnt how to maintain my accelerator pedal which I'm more than happy than to achieve anything else. Tt's precisely one of the things that differ from piano pedalling. Cos' when you step on a piano pedal, you exert force and push it right down. (A not-so-common 'Half-pedalling' on the piano is a different issue altogether.) On the contrary, the same principle is not applicable to the brake and accelerator of a car, especially when the latter is a rather sensitive pedal.
For my case, I'm too used to pressing the piano pedal right down tt it somehow affects my good driving habits;the tendency to speed drive is inevitable. So now I gotta keep psycho-ing myself to take it easy on the accel. pedal.=/
*Psycho..Psycho..Psycho...*
Btw, all the very best to Weiee for her driving test today!>_<

Argh. *so sad*!Got news from Winnie a.k.a Osiris OGL that the OG outing is cancelled. I guess we probably wont hav any other time to meet up before school starts cos' Hall camp takes off the entire of next week(excluding the weekends! Most of us (I suppose) are attending the exciting camp. Well..I'm one of them too.Yeah. =D Be it gotta be a fun one or not, I see that the Hall orientation camp is an important channel to widen one's social circle in Uni.Wldnt it be awkward staying in the hall without knowing your neighbours? Tt's why I've absolutely no regrets going for my HSS FOC. Tt is a start-up point of enlarging my Uni friendster. Eventhough I've no initial thoughts of tiring myself out before embarking on my 'WMC quest', still, I dun wanna miss out the excitement installed for me next week.
There gotta be a first ever Hall 10 freshies gathering tmr evening. Wondering how it gonna turn out. Seriously speaking, I can't imagine full attendance of 100+ pple congregating at Somerset MRT station control and walk like a big gang to some foodcourts only to intimidate others. No matter what, Am looking forward!

I've only one word in mind to describe Frysk Fanfare Orchestra(FFO):
F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C
Xinhui, you were right. I do hav some regrets for my absence in the orchestra's concert at Jurong Green CC yesterday night. Eventhough I had the opportunity to hear them this afternoon during the band workshop, I felt that I've missed something great. Argh.
Still I'm thankful to Candice for the 'Youth Alive!' complimentary ticket. Am glad to be the priviledged one out of so many of her friends. She won 2 seats at SCH for this concert and chose to give one of them to me. Arigato Gozaimasu, Candice!
This 'Youth Alive' concert which in fact, is a stage Band cum Solo Singing cum Dance competition, has somehow or rather reminded me of the biased voting system adopted in Project Superstars. The winning team of each category was solely dependent on the number of sms votes casted. So tell me, how fair could the competition go? Justice is the term tt's missing here. What 'Best' Band or 'Best' Solo Singer title? Should I jolly well re-phrase them into 'Most Popular' Band or 'Most Popular' Solo Singer? The results were so saddening. Fortunately, justice was done in the Dance category. Else, I wldnt know what to say den. =/
***
It was a wonderful band exchange with the FFO. I was particularly amused by this great Eupho player who could play 'Flight of the bumble bee' style-alike pieces on his instruments. And on top of that, his crystal clear flutter tonguing tt lasted for several bars on the music was truly commendable. Throughout his solo performance, I was like 'Wowing and wowing' non-stop.
The best part of the exchange cum workshop was when Musart members were invited to play with the orchestra! But I pity the Flute and Basson sections for not having the chance to do so since FFO is mainly a Brass band with Saxophone as their only wind instruments. Moreover, there arent any other instru which shares similar pitch as the two mentioned above. Oh well..what a pity really! How nice if the entire Musart could play with FFO.
For Clar section, we played with the Flugel Horn section. Flugel Horn- my newly-found most fav brass instru!=D Haha. In case you've no idea how it looks like, ijus picture an instru commonly used by the angels which resembles the trumpet.
One thing I gotta say is oh boy, the Dutch people are practically towering me! When we were standing up for one part of the Born Free music piece, it seemed as though I was being sandwhich-ed by two mighty figures! But they are real nicey and friendly souls who joked with you and warmed your hearts, jus like how their music does so. A *thumbs-up* exchange with them.^-^
All the very best to them for WMC. =D
Go, FFO!!!

Mus'Art WMC Fund-raising concert was a success despite the less than 3/4 filled Victoria Concert Hall that Thurs night. I'm rather pleased with the improvements that the orchestra had shown for Iris, Impressions of Japan and Rebirth. However, I believe there are greater rooms for better performance. We definitely cld stretch our potential further and hit the peak during WMC. Yes, we CAN do it! =)
By the way, I need to express my heartfelt Thanks to my parents and friends who took time off to attend the concert.
*My dad who took half-day leave to accompany my mom to watch the performance
*Wei Ee and Juanz for the beautiful stalk of Sunflower(my fav flower~!)
*Sarah and Huizhen for their roses
*Vicky and Man Ling for the sweet little candy bottle
*Amanda, Tze Xiong, Kailing, Weijie and Yongan for their very presence.
Hopefully I din miss out anyone here.
Thank you all!

GLs shout: "Osiris!"
Team: "Oiii!!"
GLs shouts: "Osiris!"
Team: "Oiii!!"
Gls shout: "Osiris!"
Team: "Aeeee Baa!"
Well..I guess that would be how the Osirisians gotta identify one another at NTU when school starts. Jus in case the name of our group members slip off our minds, the above makes a perfect secret code to access. *Laughs*
The 3 days 2 nights HSS FOC is truly a memorable one. Frankly speaking, I was quite looking forward to this camp on July 4- a time for me to let my hair down, shout and craze like nobody's business. Although I might have doubts that the camp wld be a fun one judging from the enthusiasm of our GLs who contacted us, I trust that I'll not be wrong on my choice.
And indeed, I'm not.
The first day of our camp was undoubtedly a 'sabotage' by the seniors, who are the HSS pioneers. We were made to roll and do commando crawl on black dirty mats that are covered with unimaginable mixtures of flour, water, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, soya sauce, Wasabe and probably some other unknowm substances. SOoo eeky and yucky right?! A clear-cut sabotage lo. No wonder we were asked to bring along 5 sets of unwanted clothing. Worst, imagine that we're not allowed to wash up after being stained with such 'wonderful' nauseous smell on us since we gotta keep up with time for the next game. And on top of that, the queue to the limited no. of bathrooms at Changi resort was pretty long and sad to say, I was near the end of the queue. *sobs* For that period of my stinky self, I was practically compelled to hold my breathe as many times as I could.
In spite of that, I did truly enjoyed the games.
Oh well..come camp is to get dirty. If not, it wldnt have been fun. Right?
**
"Da jia hao! Wo men shi 'Sang Yao San Jie Mei!'"
*Trying to act-cute here with our 'Dae' introduction*
This is one of the characters that the group had came up with for our 'NTU Superstars' skit meant to be put up during the 'Talentime'. I was one of the girl band characters, the Shang Che. Thanks to one of our creative Osirisians, whom we nicknamed the 'Chiongster', we had funny and lame roles like the famous eye-brow plucker at C.K Tangs- Steven Lim, the 'ever-beautiful lady'-RuHua and a Lame character with a name of, 'Ah-ha'.
This 'Ah-Ha' role was a pretty humorous one. She presented three sneaking previews of songs that echoed her name.
*First song-A song by Su Hui Lun; Ya Zi,
"Ah-Ha qu ba, mei shen me liao bu qi.."
*Second song-"Ah-Ha gei wo yi bei wang qing shui..."
*Third song-(her most fav song cos' her name is repeated continuously in it)
the main theme of 'Huanzhu Gege 1', "Ah...Ah-Ha..Ah-Ha..Ah-Ha..Ah-Ha..."
Then the judge, Florence Lian(acted by Melissa)couldnt tolerate her and guess what she remarked?
Florence:"Can you repeat your first song again?"
*Ah-Ha sang the chorus of 'Ya Zi' again but was stop short by Florence.
Florence:"Yaya..tt's enough for now. So can you leave the stage now?"
Sarcastic right? *laughs*
This skit of ours is somehow or rather a combination of ideas from the Project Superstars and the Singaporean Idol. The judges on stage were the ones from Singaporean Idol. Besides Florence Lian, we also had Ken Lim and Dick Lee. Due to the shortage of guys (Oh well..can you imagine that we only have seven pathetic guys in the entire population of Freshmen in the camp?!), we had our ladies taking up the roles of Ken and Dick.
The talentime, coupled with HSS Pageant Contest was not the peak of the camp should you think that it was. We were told of a night treasure hunt after that. But who knows, it's all a pack of lies!
At about 10.45 to 11.00pm, the GLs walked us to a pitch dark place which we didnt expect them to-
The Old Changi Hospital
a.k.a the most haunted hospital in Singapore.
We didnt have to enter the superb duperb old, eerie building that exudes a ferocious air of agitated spirits who died of a wrongful death. It was already felt outside the towering fearsome structure. Lotsa un-identifiable howling dins which we refused to admit that they were crystal-clearly not noises made by any of the GLs or freshies. Cos' all of us were instructed to keep absolute silence and solemn when we reached our destination.
The fear in me was indescribable. Because I'm one of those who believe the presence of spirits and know that they shouldnt be tampered on unnecessarily. I really hate it when the seniors-in-charge of their so-called 'Treasure hunt' didnt spell out the exact contents of the hunt. Well..if they did, it wldnt have been fun. However, at least throw some hints of what we wld expect next right? Yet, they put it across to us faintly that we were be paired up, and each pair was supposed to walk down a long flight of staircase. But they didnt reveal where wld the stairways lead us to. Instead, the seniors kept us in suspense and continued that at the other end of the staircase, two game masters would be stationed there to guide us. Like me, my partner who also holds a belief in spirits, share similar sentiments with me that we were both uncomfortable with the activity and wanted to back out. We explained our concern umpteeth of times to the game masters but they insisted that our safety is their priority and assured us that everything wld turn out fine. Well..since they know of the game content, of course they cld easily brush off with such assurance. In the end, my partner,Rachel and I had to go on with the game despite the fact that we remained doubtful of their assurance. Rachel wanted us to be the sixth pair to proceed cos' she said that it's inauspicious to be the middle one.
Heeding her advice, there we went, the sixth pair to walk down the stairs.
Guess what we saw next? The familiar main road outside our Chalet I. *Triple Dots* It was then that I realised that my group actually lived right opp the Old Changi Hospital. *Goosebumps*
From there, we were guided to another chalet..which I later found out to be a man-made haunted house. Oh gosh. It looked perfectly normal on its outside for goodness sake. Tt's why when the game master explained that we gotta solve two mysteries, one being the 'Sign' on the Obituaries page and 4 digits from a lady in red, I didnt think wild though the latter did somehow trigger certain wild thoughts. Alright, jus say that I've too belittled my seniors at that point of time.
The moment we stepped into the haunted chalet, we cld already feel a gush of chilly air that blew against us. When I saw how the door was slammed shut behind me, our only source of light was gone. The next thing I knew, we were left stranded in pitch darkness. All we cld depend on was a green luminous light stick to guide us in the dark.
From then on, I knew that I was doomed.
To side-track abit, the 'haunted house tour' reminds me of my bad experience at Haw Par Villa Hell eye-opener exhibition when I was young still haunts me now eventhough it happened like donkey years ago. Because of that undesirable big scare from a fake frightful ghost, I live in phobia of such thing ever since.
Fortunately, when it was my pair's turn to be in for a scare, we were accompanied by another pair due to time constraint. Frightful Rachel, Jiarong and I were blessed with a courageous group mate, Wanting who was daring enough to lead us in to explore each and every room in the haunted house and did what the 'ghost' wanted us to do.
Each step forward was taken heavily and gingerly.
First we came to a dimly lit up dining table with a coconut-haired gal seated solemnly stoning in the blank. As I thought her presence was only a model to show us how the dead was offered food and drinks when praying....
"SIT DOWN!" She screamed.
My heart almost skipped a beat.
We followed instructions, seated down as calmy as we could..and..
"Drink the water." She whispered.
At tt instant, I started to have wild thoughts imagining her wickedly adding unknown substances into our cups of water.
But..
No.
She din.
It's merely a cup of plain mineral water. I remembered den that this might be one of our caring seniors' intention to keep us hydrated throughout.
After we drank up the water, we left solemnly and with great care for fear that she might perform some tricks on us. Haha.
Walking along the dark alley, we came to a room. As instructed by the game master, we were supposed to knock on the door before we entered the room.
*Knock Knock*
I was squeezing Rachel's hand like mad.
A lady in white emerged. I didnt dare to look into her as-white-as-a-sheet-of- paper's face initially. The very thought of it made my hair stand on end! But..I plucked up my courage and caught a glimpse of her facial appearance. Oh well..she seemed to sense my goosebumps and fear cos' after we left her, she kept laying fingers on my hair, my cheeks and my shoulders from behind..and..
before I knew it...
She GRIPPED my shoulder!!
Arghh..Goodness gracious!!! I was scared off my wits k!!! Wanted soo badly to scream at the top of my voice but I cldnt! I lost my voice to the constant cheers. All I could do was to suffer in silence.*SOBZ SOBZ*
Luckily, I managed to shake her off and proceed into another room where we found the lady in red. Petrified, I dared not look at her. Not even a glimpse. I kept surveying the floor and leave everything to Wanting to settle. (Kinda bad of me right? But no choice!) The lady 'ghost' was actually traumatised abt her dead child and suffered from some kind of mental disorder. She mistook her child to be the baby doll tt's seated at a baby chair and wanted us to bring her the 'baby' a.k.a the little doll. Wanting did what she wanted. However, she refused to take over the doll from her.
Why?
Cos' she fingered at ME to do so instead! Goodness gracious. Apparently, she wanted to disturb the most scared-stiff soul. Tenene!
Keeping as cool as a cucumber, I personally passed the 'baby' to her arms. Luckily she didnt grip me or whatsoever, else I'll sure scream. Silent scream! Haha.
We were given 3 digits by her and was told that the 4th cld only be found at one of the drawers in the cupboards.
As we crept to the cupboards at the corner of the room...
"Bang-Bang"
Suddenly, one of the cupboards' doors broke out.
A lady in white with her face buried in her long strands of hair emanated.
I was totally in a shock.
But I quickly recovered my senses and moved on to the cupboard next to it. We tried our luck there but it was all in vain. Left with no choice, Wanting proceeded to the one with the intimidating figure to solve the mystery.
As she wanted to open the drawer with the lady towering her, she gripped her hand without any prior warning. By reflex, Wanting was frantic to freed her hand off the grip but inevitably pulled the 'ghost' along. Losing balance, the senior fell off the cupboard and landed a hard 'thud' on the ground. *Ouch* Frankly speaking, I tot that was part of the skit too. However, when I saw that even the lady in red came to her rescue, I realised it was an accident. Without hesitation, all of us quickly helped her up her feet and checked if she's alright. Well..abit of 'anti-climax' here when come to think of it. *laughs* So it wasnt scary after all cos' all of us are pure homosapiens!
After which, we were all more relaxed in spite of the man in black cloak who tried to scare us but in vain. We've successfully solved all the mysteries and heaved a big big relief when we exit from the haunted chalet.
Tt's the second day.
Third day..everyone of us was like completely drained out. We didnt catch enough winks of sleep and the hyper-active activities for the past two days really tired us out. Do you know that we only caught a total of 6 hrs sleep throughout the camp? And for those who still preserved their voice till the last day of camp, wld have more or less lost their beautiful or husky vocal. All thanks to the 3 mins' continuous cheering competition among the OGs. Even now, I still havent found my voice back yet. =/
Overall, the camp was indeed a fun one. Got to know lotsa friends..
Here, I gotta thank our Group Leaders- Bin Ru,Wendy and Guan Hua for their dedicated care and love for Osiris. =) And also, to all Osirians- Michelle, Candy, Jiarong, Xiangling, Jiawen, Rachael, Qiu Ling, Corraine, Meizhen, Melissa, May, Wendy, Wanting, Peimin and the one and only guy, Rose a.k.a Wei Liang, thank you lots for your very presence!=D
*HSS song composed by the music talent, Guan Hua*
We started off as strangers
Not knowing one another
Coming together to a common destination
Similar goals we work towards
With friends standing by us
I know if we hold on
We'll make it through till the end
In years to come
Many good times await us
Through thick and thin
We know who'll be there for us
So from the bottom of my heart
I thank you..
My dear friends..
For enriching my HSS life
I want to say, "I Love You, HSS"

Somehow or rather, I was suffering from jet-lag after the Beijing trip. Probably I'm still living in my own little world of China..Cos' the time seems to stop short at June 13, 11:43 when I reached one of the peaks of Great Wall, enjoying the picturesque scenary of the mountains and valleys from the view up there..and feeling how fortunate I am to be given this golden opportunity nearing the heaven physically.
But knocking some sense out of me, it's time for me to face the reality tt it's already July 1! Argh..hate how time and tide wait for no man. Before I realise it, school term is starting promptly in like 3-4 weeks' time. My 7 mths' span of hols is reduced to less than a month! *Goodness Gracious*
However, I'm glad that I'm the exceptional one with longer hols till 3rd Aug due to WMC. *Evil Grin*
Oh well..come to think of it, no big deal abt that since I'll be facing hell when I get back to school on Aug 4. I cld already imagine the piles and piles of workload waiting for me to clear and all the little adminstrative matters for me to settle one by one. *Sheesh* On top of that, I gotta pray hard that I dun return to Singapore only on the early morning of Aug 4, with unearthly timing like 01:00. I cld forsee that my survival rate for any lessons on the similar day will jolly well be equivalent to an egg. *Goodness Gracious* =/
By the way, Viva Musica IV was a success(oh well..I'm pretty lagging)! =) Eventhough we din put up our best performance last Friday evening, it's an overall wonderful concert for we pple truly, deeply, madly enjoyed ourselves!=) And it's Haising Concert Band first ever solo concert in a decent hall like Singapore Conference Hall! No wonder all of us, be it the alumni or the main band were pretty excited tt night. Frankly speaking, it's been a dream for HSCband members to perform in such prestigous hall since my batch..or even the earlier batches of seniors. Only that we were not given a chance to do so due to several constraints. Hence, I cld say that the current sec 2s are very fortunate to peform for the first time in such a good hall. I recalled how each year when my batch hope to play in halls like VCH but to our dismay, we ended up showcasing the band in the warm little school hall..*SigH* well of course, with the exception of my Sec 3 year when Haising performed at SCH since it's a combined concert with NASSBand. Am glad to have fantastic group of band teachers-in-charge this year who made our long-lasting dream come true..and also, I've to thank them for the red Rose that they bought especially for each peforming member in the band! It's soo sweet right?! =D

Luckily I've this week to relax a little and recover from the trip. After coming back from Beijing two Fridays ago, I hardly have time to breathe with all the band prac lined-up one day after another due to Viva Musica IV and partly also, Mus'Art fund raising concert. Beside taking a good break to replenish my energy, I've also spent these few days doing meticulous planning on my calendar. Too many things cramp within the month of July and Aug making me utterly confused. I rem how I was taught on the importance of planning in one of my Pastoral Care lessons at NYJ..and now I appreciate the fact tt it's crucial to ensure tt things work out in a proper manner. It's more organised to live life this way.
But..A worry for me..it's the ticket sales for MusArt fund raising concert. Oh well. Pretty bad. *SigH* I suppose it's due to the timing of the inappropriate timing of the concert. Anyhow, I gotta thank my 'jiu xing' for buying tickets from me; my parents, Amanda, Weiee and her friend. Arigato Gozaimasu!!^-^
