Beautiful Sunday
Another successful Beautiful Sunday performance at the Esplanade concert hall two Sundays ago. =) The concert was themed "Animanics"; We performed songs from animations and cartoons, such as Spaceship Yamato, Little Mermaid Medley and The Incredibles. That was my first concert with Mus'Art playing the first clarinet part with Mr Chua. I remember the times in Hai Sing when I idolised Mr Chua as a professional Clarinettist and respected him as our mentor. Now, I'm seated beside him, performing the same part as him. He's still the same respectful mentor I knew 8 yrs ago, who loved to relate stories to us when we played music from the "Standard of Excellence"', but now probably with a few additional strands of white hairs. Haha. I'm honoured to be able to play with my mentor. =)

I'm done for my Yr 2 course of study =D
After an intensive week of brain drain, I'm officially freed from exams! The schedule for this sem's exams is the best I ever get; The exam torture lasted me only for a week as compared to previous sems'. But of course, I faced a trade-off of FOUR core papers crammed within a week =/ Well, it's all over now and I can look forward to my three BIG things installed for me in this summer vacation. *wide grinz*

Dinner with NUSWS Clarinet family
A week before my exams, I joined the NUSWS Clarinet family for a free Swensens dinner. Our section came in second for Intempo 2007 ticket sales competition, and won $210 worth of Swensens vouchers. Topping it up with a $20 leftover vouchers from hammy, we ate our hearts out at Crown Prince's Swensens. It was really an enjoyable evening, getting to know some of them better. =)

Keep on fighting
Frankly speaking, Hai Sing had done their very best for SYF. As their senior, I'm proud of their ability to cool their nerves and deliver the best in them. Though there might be hiccups here and there, the overall performance is *thumbs-up*. But I guess they lost the top notch to clarity, which the judges seemed to be emphasizing alot this year. Of course they didnt totally lose it but I felt it could have been better. Still, I thought they left me a deep impression with Zodiac. I hope Hai Sing will not lose their spirits and keep on fighting for the best. I'm sure they will achieve better results the next SYF. I've faith in them.
