I could finally blog! Encountered numerous problems with blogger for the past 1 week. GOODNESS. These problems still plagued me, but at least I could publish my blog now.=)

Watched Phantom of the Opera last sunday with dear =) Nothing is comparable to LIVE performance; the opera was splendid. *thumbs up* The stage props, the sound effects and the orchestra beneath the stage were simply marvellous. I thought the role of Phantom was portrayed really well. I could feel his anguish, his sorrows, his menance and his great love for Christine. To sum it up all, the entire opera is FANTASTIC. But I feel a tinge of disappointment in Christine's performance, or rather its cast cos' she didnt sing up to expectations. There's certainly no flaws in her techniques however, I felt that she doesnt exactly fit into her role. I prefer the movie's Christine though. Despite this little unhappiness, I truly enjoyed the whole performance, BUT it would have been better without the unnecessary annoyance created by some inconsiderate audiences. Oh well. I really don't understand some Singaporeans nowadays. No matter what, thank you dear for this wonderful 21st birthday gift =)

Next update in line; the Italy trip extension is confirmed; We'll be flying back home from Stockholm on 15th July, which is exactly Mus'art performance day. To my dismay, that means to say I gonna miss this July concert with Mus'art. I couldnt help but feel sad cos' I'll miss playing the wonderful repertoire for this concert @ VCH and my 1st clarinet part with Mr Chua. I do also feel a little sense of guilt for not being able to chalk up the number of players in my section when I'm needed the most for this concert. Oh well. Opportunity Cost.

But the Europe trip doesnt come easy too, especially when it's a big saver. Where on earth do one get such good opportunity of saving for the 1st 12 days in Milan and use these savings for trip extension? So to speak, I'll be spending 18 days in Europe, 26th June - 15th July. The route is confirmed; Milan --> Venice --> Munich --> Berlin --> Stockholm. I'm really excited about it, cos' this is my very first time planning for the trip!! So far, we've already settled our flights within Europe and accomodations too. Don't say we're kiasu, but I think it's better to book early cos' early birds always get the best worms. haha. =) On top of that, we have also come out with brief itineraries for each cities. Oh my god, I truly feel quite a sense of achievement planning for the trip. But before we set off to Europe, we are all on a mission; that's to train Erina. Haha. There's this BIG Royal Palace park we gonna visit in Stockholm that needs us to cycle to get around the place. Not that we can't explore by foot, but I think it'll take us for the entire day and we don't have such luxury of time too. A better idea would be to explore by bikes. So cool right, to cycle in a foreign country? So, Ian, Cedric, Daniel, Xinhui and my mission is to teach Erina to cycle! haha.

I've almost forgotten that I would be flying off to China in 2 days! Oops. Yup, going for this Sino-Singapore Exchange. Rather looking forward to it=) I've already finished packing my luggage last friday. Haha. Really hope to have a meaningful and fun exchange with the Universities in China.

Mother's Day today! Accompanied my parents to watch a Beautiful Sunday performance; Mother's Day Special in which 3 singers were invited to perform oldies. I truly admired one of them, who's the Super Judge Ye Pei Fen. Despite not singing for quite a no. of yrs by now, she still sings really well!! Rather enchanted by her performance. More importantly, I'm glad that Mom enjoys the concert.

Happy Mothers' Day to all wonderful mums! =)
