A terribly wrong turn :x

Thank goodness that dear and I returned home sweet home in one piece.

The treetop was beautiful but the post-treetop trail was a horror! As you could see from the map, the red trail which represent our post-treetop trail scales almost half the map! Apparently, we took a wrong from Petaling trail. Before we knew, we found ourselves embarking on a treacherous trail along Rifle Range Link which I later found out would have led us to Bt Timah Reserve. However, we didnt eventually end up at Bt Timah Reserve. Instead, we beat around the merry bush at the link before we took the right route all the way to Macritchie Reservoir Park.

As shown in the map below, we U-turned at the Rifle Range Link. Not that we wanna U-turn, but that was how the trail led us. Oh well.

Dear and I didnt think too much before going to the treetop. All we wanted was only to get to the treetop; we thought nothing about the trail and stuffs..cos' we thought we could just follow the direction board. That explains why we didnt even bother to do any research before we went. On a positive note, the trail was adventurous, but we could have been more mentally prepared before we embarked on this adventure. It was totally unexpected. Come to think of it, the Rifle Range Link does carry certain amount of risks, especially when dear and I only have each other to look after, and we chose an unearthly occasion to go. Yup, we went on the third day of CNY. Haha. Crazy us, right? Actually it was all thanks to my brilliant idea. A safer time to go would be on weekends when there are more people walking with you. Oh well. My crazy idea caused us to fend dangers all by oursevles along the trekking trail, and along the way at Rifle Range, we met Kodomo Dragon(a big reptile)! I screamed la! Scared me off my wits.

I don't think we will be going there again for quite some time for now.

Anyway, we tried our luck at my aunt's stall for lunch cos' the hawker centre was rather near macritchie. But the stall was not opened. What a pity! And we ended up sufferring at this Chicken Man stall, with this super irritating and weird uncle serving us. It was a BAD service. I'm going to complain to my aunt about it later!!!

Here are some photos taken at the adventure:
