Last week was a mad house. The week didnt start off well to begin with.

First thing on Monday, I'v to do an online test on Symmetry and Crystals as part of my continuous assessment. Well, it was a re-test which the majority of my course mates had voted for to push up our grades. But I did worst for the re-test. Oh well.

Then comes the application for summer vacation;

I thought it was real silly of me to miss an important game theory lecture only to park myself outside the lecture theatre, anxiously waiting for the clock to struck two before using my fast fingers to apply for the summer prog online. Cos' it kinda turned out to be a hoax when the webbie mentioned that interested applicants could apply from two onwards. Rainbow and I clicked on the link to apply but it led us to the Global Immersion Program main webpage. And mind you, we tried for a good 15 minutes, and found out from the International Office that the technicians might be still trying to set up the online application, so she advised us to try 15 minutes later. I was rather pissed then. With no hesitation, rainbow and I gave up trying to get to the right webbie, and attended the second half of game theory lecture. It was only till after our last lecture ended at 1730 that we managed to apply successfully. However, the process through application wasnt a smooth sailing one. We were stuck at a not-more-than-150-word essay on proving ourself to be worthy of an NTU ambassador. Least expected an essay requirement on application, I was totally stunt at the question. Eventually, we didnt manage to apply cos' we decided to think abt the question before we proceed. So, I spent my Monday night thinking and researching about how I could write a good piece. Gathered quite a number of opinions too...and finally I completed my writing. Again, I anxiously applied for the prog again despite being aware that it was already late at night and I've 9.30 lesson the next day. You might be wondering why I was so kiasu. Cos' I was told by the seniors that the application is based on a first-come-first-serve basis. How true that was I never know. The fact is the method of application now is different from the previous years. It was paper-based in the past. So the earlier one submitted the application the international relations office, the higher chance of him getting the university of his choice. To save the hassle of the students, they decided to switch the application online. Though I was not informed that earlier birds will catch the best worms, I chose to believe. But I ended up giving myself extra troubles and stress. Goodness gracious. So I attempted to apply after doing the essay, and again, I hit yet another obstacle; Course matching. I didnt know it was such troublesome to apply for the summer vacation! I've no idea how to match the foreign uni courses with ntu's..and I was also worried that I might match them wrongly. All in all, the application just made me so vex la! I decided to consult my tutor who happened to be one of the exhange coordinators abt the course matchings before I proceeded any further. Finally, I was done with my application on wed. I heaved a great sigh of relief!

Tuesday and Thursday were super tiring for me! Took on temp job on both at Academy of Medicine. It was a simple data-entry task but it drained me out. Worked till 8.30pm on Tues. I worked almost the entire day on Thurs and attended NUSWS at night. My hectic Thurs caused me to oversleep for my Fri's 8.30am lecture on Financial Economies. The first time I missed my lecture due to oversleeping! Gosh.

Had 310 gathering on sat. Kudos to Nurul and JT for taking time and effort to organise it. It was a successful gathering! I could finally catch-up with LinYee, Nurul, Meiyan and Sulastri whom I havent seen since we graduated from JC. After which, I shopped around with Winter, JT, Rainbow, Bee and Juan. We really walked alot la! From Marina Sqaure to Suntec..then all the way, to PS. We eventually dined at Old Macdonalds house's Long John, and it was almost 2100 then. I actually planned to study for Symmetry and Crystal's test on Sat. Oh well. My Sat was gone with gathering and shopping.

So I've no choice but to miss Musart on Sunday to study for my test. But I went for NUSWS cos' I couldnt attend the following thurs prac due to Zari's 21st bday bash.

That goes my mad house week.

Yearn for the days of innocence
