@10:38 AM
Oops. I'm MIA-ing again.
Happy 2007 to all my blog's loyal patrons!!!
How time flies! My holiday is coming to an end SOON. Argh. Once again, I'll see myself myself buried in the pile of books and notes, busied with research and meeting project deadlines, reivisng for exams etc. The vicious cycle will thus perform its magic again. My work with HSBC will end on the 5th Jan 2007 and yr 2 sem 2 will start on the 8th Jan. So to work the math out, I actually have only 2 full days to prepare myself mentally for school. Of course, I would wish for more! haha. Havent exactly enjoyed days of slacking. Ironically, I'm glad I didnt rot for too long before I got the job. I would rather keep myself occupied than to stare at tv the entire day.

After being kept waiting in suspense for eons, I've finally received my sem1's results. It was a pleasant surprise cos' I've expected for the worse. Though I didnt perform as well as the previous sem's, I'm still rather satisfied with my results given the additional workload and stress I faced during this sem. Hooray to my rainbow results! Should I be greedier to aim for more A pluses? Well, it's good to have a dream. Alrighty, I'll work harder the coming sem! GO GO JIAYOU, HUILI! =)

A few updates!
xx Nan Chiau Wind Orchestra xx
I've attended Nan Chiau Wind Orchestra's concert. This is an important performance for dear because it was his conducting debut. He led the band for 2 pieces with his expressive comducting skills. I thought the band sounded rather good under his baton. Am just so proud of him! Well done, my dear =D
xx 2006 Christmas xx
Christmas celebrations with hsbc, friends and dear were great!
Received loads of prezzies from my hsbc collegues and we had a wonderful buffet dinner at the branch after work. The exchange of gifts was very fun. It was done in a less traditional way; the gifts were exchanged based on a Christmas story. All of us were asked to stand in a circle holding on to a present. Our manager stood in the middle of the circle and narrate the christmas story. Whenever we heard a Right or Left in the story, we passed the presents accordingly. All of us paid really close attention to the narrator to hear out for those two magic words. The excitement came in at those tricky parts, where the story goes 'Right Left' one after another, and all of us would be anxiously trying to switch our minds fast to coordinate with our hands. Haha.When the story ends, the present that we are holding on to will then be ours. How fun, wasnt it?
I played the game again with my sistaz. My sistaz were all soo enthusiatic and excited even before the story starts. Though I played the game before with my hsbc colleagues, I was equally excited when my sistaz and I played the game at marina sq's pizza hut. We passed the gifts accordingly, yet at the same time thinking whose prezzie would we receive. A truly enjoyable game; and a creative one too! Will try it again next year =D
Celebrated X'mas day with dear! We picniced at the 'rooftop' of vivocity with dear's garlic bread and my self-made pizza bread. Yes! The pizza bread was a success. Thank you, Ganbee! As the weather wasnt very encouraging, we shopped around for my shoes first.Oh well. I think I have bad luck with shoes. I bought quite some pairs of shoes last year but they were all not durable. Hopefully the pair that I got from URS will last me long! Back to the xmas celebration. We then headed to mount faber when the skies cleared. The place was a serenity; a great spot to unwind and enjoy mother nature. Went to the jewel place for a while before we decided to walk down the mountain. It was a risky adventure cos' half the time we were brisk walking along the aisle of the roads! Of course, we took great care of our safety. The day was nicely wrapped up with Death Note 2 at Vivo's golden village. I thought the movie is thumbs-up!=)
xx See parents day xx
Haha. The subtitle sounded as if my teacher is going to see my parents for the bad exam results. Well, I've gladly passed that stage as a student! I am responsible for my own grades now.
Anyway, the 'see parents day' here is meant for my dear. He came to my house for the very first time last xmas eve eve. Sis and bro were not at home then, so my parents, dear and I could sit spaciously round the dining table to enjoy dinner. Mom cooked a feast of her best dish;braised duck, steamed silver promfret, some vege and cabbage soup for dear to get a taste of them. =) After dinner, I took out almost all my photo albums for dear to see while we ate the fruits that mom cut for us. Dear also played my piano and unleashed his talented improvisation skills and arrangement. We truly had a great time at my house! Though dear was nervous initially, he gradually eased himself up as my parents and I helped to break the ice. He even asked mom for some soup recipes! Dear, now you gotta cook for me in the future. bleah. haa.
Yearn for the days of innocence
