- I'm back -
Oh my goodness. I havent blogged for eons! Am really tied down with loads of stuffs; one after another. Even now when I'm 'free-er' than in the past, I'm still occupied with my piling school work - weekly tutorials, 2 reports and 1 oral presentation for communication module. Those that I mentioned might not sound a big deal but the 2 reports; one 10-paged and the other not more than 35 pages are enough to slaughter me.
I came back from ntu not long ago...tired and zombified. Spent the entire afternoon at Lee Wee Nam's lib with Rainbow to hunt down for reference books and journals for he 202 report. We climbed the stairs up and down; borrowed the reference books one at a time at the 2nd level (cos' each person is entitled to borrow one book at a time and we've 3 books), and photocopy the relevant pages at the ground floor. We even went to the highest level of the lib to search for journals; compiled all our relevant materials and visited the printing room at ground floor again. So you imagine how many times we frequent the stairs? Really felt like stoning on our train ride back home. But we've loads of readings to do and all have to be done before tmr 10.30am. Cos' tt's when we'll have our project meeting. Sheesh. Not that we love to do stuffs at the eleventh hour but truly, this afternoon makes the best time for research. Oh well. Anyway, I'm supposed to do my readings now and probably summarized my findings. However, I'm too stoned!! Need a break to re-charge myself. That explains my 'presence' here.
By the way, time for some updates!
First and foremost, it's NTUSB concert, 'Reel-In.' It was quite a successful night despite hiccups here and there. The audience response was..well..ok..I shant blabber too much on that..but I'm more than happy to have my parents and two rare guests who came to support me that night. And yup, the 2 rare audiences are my bro and his gf. Really appreciated their presence, especially so since they seldom watch band performances. Not forgetting, to thank my avid supporter, Xinhui who made her presence at ACS Barker auditorium =) And Nick for the 'Cookie Man' cookies meant for me and Ian. Btw, am taking a break from ntusb now..Wanna put all my concentration in mus'art. =)
Next comes my guest performance at Band Directors Association of Singapore concert on 2nd Sept. A prestigious concert at a prestigious hall none other than Esplanade Concert Hall. It was an honour to be able to guest perform for the concert and get to meet band instructors from all over Singapore. Yes, I was one of the performer in Inclarion Clarinet Choir. We played well for the actual performance though we didnt sound good during rehearsal. Miracles seem to always happen during the actual thing. gee. But it was a wonderful experience indeed =)
Then was Mus'art Botanical Performance on 9th Sept. Didnt expect a huge crowd..still, I was on cloud nine to see so many people listening to the band playing. It was truly encouraging for we musicians on stage. A big big thank you to those who were there..hope you guys enjoy our music =)
And finally, my part-time job had come to an end. I heaved a big sigh of relief cos' I could have more time for myself at last. Working and schooling at the same time isnt easy! Plus when I was still band-ing with ntusb and clarinet-ing with Inclarion, I wondered how I managed my time in those packed schedule. Still, I survived. Cos' I believe I could do it. And yes, I did it! ^-^
Ah. My batt is full already. Time to get cracking!
