xx School reopens xx
School has officially started! When everyone groans at waking up in the early morning for lessons, I kind of take it positively; probably because I've already built up the momentum for studies during my special sem. In fact, I am quite geared up for lessons. =) Good for me! I dislike the feeling of dread when attending lectures or tutorials. It'll affect my performance badly. So for those who're still in a 'holiday' mood, take the re-opening-of-school on your stride! It's better to look forward to rather than dread going school. =)
Nevertheless, I couldnt help feeling tired every morning I travel to ntu. It had been quite 'happening' the day before my morning class. My body was thereby worn from the activities that ended quite late at night;
Had chalet on last Saturday..and I didnt manage to catch enough winks of sleep. Maybe I was too hyper to get into sleep at desmond's chalet, and I ended up like a 'walking zombie' on Sunday. Managed to catch some sleep on Sun's afternoon when I returned home from chalet - 1 hrs 30 mins worth of rest. It lasted me for the National Day performance at night (luckily) but after that, I concussed.
Woke up early in the morning at 7pm for school the next day. I was soo sleepy! However, I kept myself awake throughout the lecture for Money and Banking.
After the lecture, I didnt manage to rest my feet and catch a good breath; Before I knew, I was already on my way to my office with a packed lunch from can A.
Work was generally fine that day except for a few irritating moments. I'm not going to comment anything on that incident. The thought of it makes me angry again. Rainbow's right; I shouldnt be angry with such unreasonable being; She doesnt deserve it. Sometimes I really wish to just shirk my responsibilities and leave the company for good. But for the sake of those who need me there, I shant make such impulsive decision merely b'cos of one silly black sheep. Enough said.
After work, I headed back to ntu for lunch-time concert band practice.
By the time the practice ended, it was already 22:05. I was quite surprised that I could still find energy to drive home; Reached home around 22:50. That goes my Monday.
Tuesday was a better day - no work! Attended he 204a and he202 lectures and met hammy after that! Btw, thank you Rainbow and Xiaoting for keeping me company at JP while I ran errands and waited dear. =) Hammy and I almost rotted ourselves away for that 3 free hrs before mus'art woodwind sectional started. But good thing that we could take this opportunity to slow our pace down cos' most of the time, we find ourselves rushing for mus'art prac ( I dunnoe why either). haha. We occupied ourselves with a little shopping, take our time to walk and enjoy the evening breeze and to eat and savour every taste of our food. =D
Woodwind sectional was fine...but Phantom of the Opera sounded a little off cos' pple keep forgetting their key signatures! I thought that is quite a serious problem of the section; I noticed that some of us tend to forget our sharps and flats be it playing familiar or unfamiliar pieces. It applies to the band as well. Truly hope that these forgetful pple will make an effort to pen these key signatures down wherever they're approriate! It doesnt reflect well on the band to play wrong notes on stage! =x
Wednesday was the best! Before I continue,
Happy 41st Birthday, Singapore! =D
A one day break finally from all my activities! Had a date with dear, and for the first time, we went ktv together!(After turning down so many requests from him. Oops) Anyway, we truly enjoy ourselves singing and entertaining each other. haha. =P
And of course, we caught National days' fireworks. We were lucky to find a good spot at the Merlion to catch glimpses of the fireworks. Part of the display was blocked by the buildings that gave it a dull rectangular border. So to speak, the fireworks spectacular took place at the National Stadium, and not Marina Bay! At least a quater of the Singaporeans (including myself and dear) misunderstood the display to be at Marina Bay, and they stationed themselves along the riverfront and Esplanade bridge as early as six in the evening(mayb) only to catch good views of the fireworks. However, they waited long hours in vain for the fireworks display; most didnt even know it was already over by 8 plus, and they continued to camp at where they were, thinking the display was delayed. Oh boy, how I sympathized with them! But for pple who missed it on National days, they can still catch it today and tmr at 9pm. This time round it wont be wrong. Well, the venue wasnt wrong in the first place; only pple took it for granted that the fireworks would always take place at Marina Bay. =x
Yearn for the days of innocence
