@5:36 AM
Last week was crazy.
Mon- String Orchestra practice @ 6.30pm
Tues- Ensemble Practice @ 7.00pm
Wed- Exxon Mobile Ensemble perf @ 1245pm
NTU Band prac @ 7pm
Thurs- String Orchestra Rehearsal at Raffles Hotel Jubilee Hall @ 7pm
Fri- String Orchestra performance at Jubilee Hall; 2.00-10pm
Sat- Hall 6 Cultural nite perf; 2.30-10pm
Sun- Musart band prac @ 2pm
I played everyday! Wow. I was so occupied with all these performances that I left with quite little time for my school assignments and projects. For the SO performance, I skipped HE201 tutorial reluctantly. Opportunity cost. For the hall 6 cultral nite peformance, I sacrificed ntu and mj alumni band prac. But I've no choice cos' I wanna help weiee out with the mini gig. She was stressful enough for this performance. Despite numerous cork-ups during our last minute rehearsals, we managed to put up a decent 'I will survive' at the YMS auditorium. Yes, we survived. I'm glad. Weiee, you heave a great relief too!=)
However, the SO perf did not turn out quite successfully. The strings were quite off tune that night, and the entire orchestra was practically rushing throughout the concert. Oh well. But considering that this is the first major performance for the strings orchestra, I guessed it's 'not bad' to survive through the concert. I believe it is a good exposure for them and also, for myself too. hee =) My first performance with the Strings. >_<
Hmm..not only was the week hectic, lots of other things happened too. Well..lots of unplesantries to be exact. But I'm glad that he stands by me throughout the tough week, despite my moodiness. I really really appreciate what he's done for me. No doubt he's tried his best. But unfortunately, I'm too difficult a little princess to be pleased. I'm sorry..
I promise you I'll be happy. Because only when I'm happy, you're happy. =)
Thank you, Ian.
