Alright...I'm aware that now my blog is really rotting like nobody's business! Oops. But I'm pretty occupied this Dec hols(I know this is one lousy excuse that's unacceptable but...that's true!). I have quite little time for myself in fact. Most of it are spent on work (basically), ntu band prac, musart band prac, clar choir, performances and driving. By the time I could finally sit down and breathe, it's sleeping time. I'm too tired to do anything for myself!
Well..of course I did fork out some time to plan my modules for next sem. That's a must! However, I didnt realise how time-consuming it was to actually plan one proper class timetable! Irritating. *humph* But what brightens my day was the unexpected good results I achieved for this sem! Pretty contented with the exams outcome in fact;especially the pleasant surprise from Business Finance which I whole day complained non-stop. Hah. Frankly speaking, I thought I would flunk it. The very thought of the paper simply made me despressed. No doubt, being my very first ntu paper, it somehow affected my motivation for my other modules. Fortunately the interval between my Biz Finance and micro was long enough for me to recover from the 'depression'. =)
I'm finally a little more relaxed with all the performances over. By the way, my very first concert with Musart Wind Orchestra at Esplanade on 11th December was truly a great one! It was a beautiful Sunday, free performance opened to the public! Probably one of the events organised by Esplanade to boost local music scene. Good for the garden city, and also good for the orchestra certainly! It spreads the name of the residential musical group to the heartlanders who visit Esplanade that day, and to foreigners who stopped by at the theatre. Frankly speaking,I didnt expect a good turnout on the concert day. I was so worried on the concert eve the hall would only be half-filled that I practically mass-msged all my band and some non-band friends to promote the concert;hoping that the notion of watching a free concert in a classy hall will attract attendance. Little to my expectation, the concert hall was full house that afternoon; so full that the seats on the stage that are actually not meant for audience, but rather for performing choir groups, were opened up for public. To a musician, the good attendance by the audience is nothing more than one could ask for. =D
A gig on the Christmas eve with Inclarion Clarinet Choir Esplanade Library was an equally good one despite little hiccups here and there. Though it wasnt my first time performing in a clarinet choir (cos' I did it with ntu once during Mid-autumn festival), I was still pretty excited. =D Audiences seemed to enjoy our music(!);After the performance, I was chit-chatting with my parent and Ian one level down from the lib when there's this old lady in her 50s actually approached me and praised the choir for our great performance. She even showed us a 'thumbs-up'! Wow! That was really one of the most unforgettable moment in my life man! =) Thank you, Auntie for appreciating our music!
Having said so much, I realised it's time for me to log off. Oh ya..to Leen, Jt, Huiqi, 'stella' and Xinhui who bothered to tag whilst my blog was rotting like mad, THANKS! =D And also, thanks to all my colleagues who bought Xmas gifts for me! First time ever receiving so many christmas presents. =D
Here, wishing everyone Happy Belated Christmas! ^-^
Yearn for the days of innocence
