@3:18 AM
Yay! I'm done for the day; my last tutorial ended at 10.30am and I've no more lessons till next Monday. *Woo-hoo* ^-^ Love my timetable loads. =D
Yesterday was a pretty long day. It's always like that on Wednesday. Here goes my Wednesdays' schedule:
0830-0930: HE101- Micro Tutorial
1230-1300: HE103- Basic Econs for Maths Lecture
1530-1700: MB102- Buz Finance Seminar
1730-2030: HP805- HRM lecture
2030-1030: NTU Band Prac.
Maths lecture was *tenene*. Did Intergration by parts for the entire one hour before moving on to Area and Volume for the next hour. Gosh. I didnt know that there are actually 3 complicated methods of doing the former. Dr Gu's unclear explanation made my understanding of the concept worst. Am not the only affected ones..but I guess a majority of the people were equally muddle-headed too, especially those we dont have Maths C foundations. However, I truly appreciate his patience and effort to bring his points across to us.
Unfortunately, there's this one brave soul sitting right behind me who's unappreciative of the lecturer. She questioned Dr Gu's solution with regards to writing dx as d(x+C). No doubt it's commendable that she's active in her learning, but I just cldnt accept her arrogance in posing her enquiry to Dr Gu; After umpteeth of explanations by Dr Gu, still she cldnt get the gist of the concept. (Probably in the first place, she's already not at all receptive of the new solving method.)
Exasperated, she said:
"Okok..nevermind nevermind. Let's move on."
'Let's move on?!' What a thing to say. So who's the lecturer now? She or Dr Gu? I cldnt help but to disagree with her rudeness. Though Uni students are envouraged to speak up, tt's absolutely and obviously the incorrect manner to do so. The principle of giving teachers the due respect still remains whether or not the education system now is more or less flexible. After all, teachers are the ones more experienced and knowledegable than you. Dr Gu could actually choose not to answer the query lo. Goodness. What has the world become to?! *sigh*

Mr Oura took us for band prac! Have a feeling that he gotta be taking over lao shi since Mr Luk is retiring soon. Like the way Mr Oura teaches the band! He taught us proper breathing with a '8 counts in, 8 counts out; 10 counts in,10 counts out......16 counts in,16 counts out.' Taking a deep deep 16 counts worth of breath is definitely more challenging than releasing 16 counts worth of breath! Try it. It trains you to play a good tone on your instru wor. Hmm..looking forward to this Sat's band prac ! =D
By the way, all clarinetists need to go for either one-to-one or two-to-one Clar tuition with Tang Xiao Ping! Gosh. If I din rem wrongly, he actually coached MJ clar section once during my batch. Am I right arh, Juanx?
Okay...Gotta do my Macro tutorial le.
Ciao~~
