@2:58 PM
I suppose in jus no time, I gotta exceed my patience and.... oh well. I'm not going to imagine what I wld do next. Well..all things boils down to the word of ConTrol. No matter what, I've to C-O-N-T-R-O-L my temper and swallow my anger. Cos'..I dun hav a choice. Sad arh...? What to do?
He's my cousin.
I never know that it's a torture to teach tuition. To me, it's a pleasure to pass whatever knowledge I've to the kid I'm attending to. But that's provided if the kid is willing to lend me a listening ear and a heart to learn. Like a saying goes, it takes two hands to clap. I may be trying my best effort to explain to him the concept over and over again. However, shld he choose to switch his mind off, all my explanation will conveniently turn into a deaf ear. Goodness gracious. I'm truly at a loss of what I can do to get him learn. It's not that I'm monotonous and discouraging. I do adjust my lecturing tone such that it's livier and praise him whenever it's necessary. The results? He's still as blur and as careless as he cld be. Not once but a thousand and one times. *biG biG siGh* He told me he's tired. Well..hello? Am I not equally tired as well? I travelled to his place after work to give him tuition..and by the time I reached home(even if it's my dad who takes time off to fetch me), it's already 11 plus; And I've to wake up early in the morning the next day to work. So he told me he's tired? Oh please, cld there be a beta excuse? But but but do I hav a choice to giv him up?
No.
Cos'..
He's my cousin.
Anyway, I took early leave from work this morning and rushed to MJ. Phew! Luckily Clara, Jamie and I were in time for the exchange.
A total of 6 JCs were present for the exchange;
Hwa Chong JC
Meridian JC
Nanyang JC
Temesek JC
Serangoon JC
Yishun JC
Bascially, I'm pleased with my juniors' performance this afternoon. Great improvement had they shown but I'm certainly sure tt they've the calibre to do much much beta. Probably with less yet good and committed players cos' there were 94 members on stage for the exchange! Wow~ was like you know..a good lot of them. Heard that Ms Sia has not cut players..no doubt she will when time ripes..and tt's when she'll be everyone's wicked witch..Oh well. Does she hav a choice? Hope that those who lose their SYF seat will understand her feelings.=)
Needless to say, TJ is still the best band amongst all. They definitely hav a different goal from the rest of the bands here; which is to be the top JC band in Singapore. Tt explains why they outshine the 5 others easily. I suppose their target is RJ ba. Unfortunately, I learnt that both bands play similar choice piece; The chosen coincidentally, and tt RJ will be performing before TJ. Goodness gracious. Hard on TJ yeah? Hopefully they can realise their goal. =)
NYJ..somehow or rather, I gotta change my views abt this band which I used to join 2 yrs ago during PAE. NYJCB v blessed to hav a good conductor, Mr Adrian Chiang in place of the lousy tenene Mr XxX, so much so tt the band is starting to shine once again under his baton. As compared to the previous concert I heard from SCH, they'll sounded beta considering the fact tt they were without the alumni this afternoon. I've to say that NY is one of the tough competitors for MJ given tt she's performing jus before the latter. All the best to MJ!=)
I feel sad for YJ..same sentiments are shared among my juniors who heard them. Hope they'll not be demoralized from this meaningful exchange but instead, treat it as a good exposure for the band. Look forward to a beta performance from them on 5th May.
(Sth to gossip: Ms Sia actually told me tt YJ conductor, Mr Darren Sim is handsome. Is he?? Argh. I beg to differ. Wahaha ^-^)
A wonderful exchange really..I believe everyone there wld hav learnt something in one way or another. A great exposure for MJCSB cos' this is their first ever exchange. Am glad tt their standard is comparable to the rests. =D
Exchange is one thing. I also hav a good time patching up with juniors whom I havent seen for long and frens like Clara and Jamie.
Was di-lunch(din+lunch) with Benny and Fuquan, and realised tt I've missed the great great fun during their recent band camp. Esp. their self-created game - Dial M for Murder. Credit goes to Joel, Benny, Fuquan and Bao Lun who had come up with this creative game idea and had done up lotsa preparation for it. I learnt that they in fact took 2 full mths to prepare this major game. Things like creating the atmoshpere for the place where murder has taken place, coming up with various clues for instance, diary entries( for which all entries were hand-written by Joel, acting as if it's blogged by the victim),some photgraphs(real shots) of the victim's acquaintances and the air ticket(real) tt was once the victim's possession..also the autopsy etc. Sounds pretty interesting right? Am very proud that the four of them actually took great efforts and pain only to make the camp a success. They do it more for the band than for themselves. I thought their significant contribution is truly commendable. Isnt it so?
*Thumbs-up* pple!
Btw, heard that quite a no of pple has gotten letters from Uni abt their admission results. Why havent I? *sigh*
