"Born of a vision to be the best

Cause' we're..

Born of a vision to be the best,
Rising above the rests
We speak with one clear voice
As this is our choice
Meridian yes we'll be..
the BEST..................."

Yes! I'm soo proud of MJC! It was an utter surprise that MJ did well! ^-^ According to Ms Lai, we the students actually exceeded their expectations for us in this 2004 Cambridge Advanced Level Examinations. Our commendable performance is truly unexpected. So good that the college even hung a big banner at the bridge above the sidewalk of the parade ground which says, "Well done, Meridians!" So good that even the Straitstime, under the Home section reports: " Meridian JC's pioneers prove sceptics wrong." *laughs*
In fact, out of 550 candidates from MJ, we've 46 smarties who bagged 3 distinctions and 5 whizz kids scoring straight As in their content subjects. Wow. Amazing! =D To speak of the truth, our past examinations' statistics like mid-yr and prelims never even showed such optimistic results before. Thus, I shld say that this piece of good news is truly the bestEsT gift that we pioneers present to the college ba. ^0^ (I guess our juniors will be in great pressure now! *lol*)

After saying all these, you guys must be very curious abt my individual achievements. Hmmm..shall I keep you guys in suspense then? *Evil smile* No la.. Dun worry, I'm not that bad de. (*haha* fancy praising myself like tt. Unbelieveable.) Anyway, thanks for your concern, pple! =D

My results.....

*drum-roll*

B

C

and a pass in my GP. ^-^

Bs for Chemistry and Mathematics, and C...- ironically for my all time strongest subj, Economics.Oh well.
Frankly speaking, I was already quite glad that I din score a D or E for this killer paper, given the fact that I din spend the amount of effort for this particular subj that's comparable to my other two weaker ones. So probably tt explains why I gt a C for it?
However, I'm very very happy for my Maths especially! As a matter-of-fact, I've been failing this subj for my entire JC life except for promos when I only managed to touch a D. *hee* I really have to admit that without Add.maths foundation, it's quite difficult to cope with C maths which is a GrEaT jump from the sort of maths we normally did in sec sch. No doubt I was met with lotsa obstacles along the way when I study for tis subj..but thanks to my beloved Maths teacher, Mrs Neo who's patient with us despite our slow learning, and is always there for us whenever we need her, almost all my 310 classmates achieved an either A or B for the subj. ^-^ Congras to us!*hee* ^o^
Not forgetting to extend my deepest gratitude to Dr R!! The best Chem teacher on earth! *haha* If not for him, I might still cont to be blur abt certain chemistry ConcePts. Love the way Dr R teaches us cos' he really brings out the gist of every topic tt aids us in understanding the concepts behind all the theories we studied. *COnCepTs* yeap, is exactly the keyword. =)

Phew! Feel that a burden has finally rolled off my shoulders after like 3 mths? Three months of being kept in suspense; living in fear; having frequent nightmares. It's a torment to me, really.
Oh yah..Thanksgiving time. *lol* Quite a no of pple whom I wld like to show my deepest gratitude for; First and foremost, I would like to thank God for answering my prayers, followed by my parents for giving their pillars of support; Before I went to collect my results on Friday, my mom actually reassured me that she'll give me the fullest support no matter how good or bad my results were. Thanks Mom! And Dad..for driving me to college every morning so that I cld get enough sleep daily. *Muacks Dad* My grandma..who keeps ensuring me that everything will turn out fine for me, and indeed, it does! My cousin, Xiuning who's always been there for me when I need her..Pohpoh and Nurul, my mugging companions! *laughs* and those who've wished me luck for my exams or results like Mr and Mrs Chua ("Mrs Chua, wo mei you 'si'!" Haha),Hui Huang, Hui Hui, Xinhui, Jian Lin, Hiddy, Clara, Cedric, Dan, Xingwen, Pohpoh, Kenneth, int'l WRM, Bryane, Jianing, Kelvin, Jared, my band juniors (HSC and MJ)..etc..Too many to list. *Gee* Thanks lots pple! ^-^ Truly appreciate that. =)

"...Feel the flame of our dream, burn forever
As our journey here begins
We're together
With each step we take we go
Strength to strength we'll go
As we set ourselves apart

Facing challenges ahead
We'll overcome
With passion, fervour we'll strive
Spread our wings and fly
We will reach the highest star
Through Meridian
Yes, our hopes and dreams will shine "
