@10:50 AM
Vidya: "Hey Huili, you know arh..we've dinner last night and Boss asked me how you're doing. So I said that you're doing fine and everything. He also praised you for your good work."
Me: "Really?" *grinz*
Vidya: "Yah..However..Boss said tt you looks too pale. Shld have put on some make-up cos' you know, you're facing customers everyday who come from all woks of life.."
Me: "Huh?! But I've already put on lipsticks. Isn't tt good enough?"
Vidya: "Tt's not enough, Huili. You need to really add more 'colours' to your face.."
Me: "oh..okay..I'll try my best to do tt on Monday den."
Vidya: "I better see tt you put down your hair, wear make-up and skirt on Monday arh..else I'll bring you for an extreme makeover!"
Me: "...."
Have to present a 'new' me tomorrow le. *sigh* Thought tt I cld save the hassle of putting on make-ups every morning. So now I've to wake up even earlier every morning to 'paint' my face. Arghh..lesser sleeping hours for me! *sobz*
Frankly speaking, I dun really like to put on make-up. It's so *tenene*. Doesnt enhance my look at all. Instead, it only makes me appear more artificial. :x But do I hav a choice here? Noo..I dun. Oh well. Let's see what turns out of me tomorrow den.
Anyway, my mom is going to help me with tt. Hmmm..I've 100% confidence tt she'll do a great job. However, I still feel jittery whenever I thought of my refreshing look tmr. *sigh* :(
Yesterday night went to watch NYJ concert at Singapore Conference Hall (SCH) with buddy. -Aureus Experentia XJ- Cool name hor? Hmm..if you wan me to rate this concert, well overall I give it an 8 ba. The entertainment part was fantastic. They really know how to capture the hearts of the audience with the addition of fun skits and not mere playing throughout. Interesting. =D
Upon seeing the word 'Percussion Ensemble' on the long rectangular program card (which was nicely done-up like one of those professional concerts sort), I tot of it to be the usual kind of ensemble with percussion section show-casing their talents. However, NYJ did it out-of-the-norm way with a little lecture on the various percussion instruments, and show to us how some are not independent by themselves, for instance the triangle and tambourine. Moreover, the best part was the comb mallet and glockenspiel ensemble piece by the name of 'Flight of the bumble bee'. Guess what? There were actually a few 'real' gigantic bees running ard the concert hall lo! *Laugh out Loud Loud* Creative wor..!
But the band itself..to my dismay, it wasn't doing as fine. Quite a number of flaws. First thing first, the woodwinds are a little weaker than the brasses although the Sax section was pretty strong. There are two rather good saxophonists. However, I feel that there are still rooms for improvement on their tone. Euphonium and French Horn sections are commendable. In spite of tt, the trumpet section needs to work extra harder.
One thing I wld like to praise the band is tt they ended all their pieces very nicely. The band made some plunders when they start a piece nevertheless.
A golden rule applies to all bands: Start and End a piece Properly! ^-^
And tt Kelvin from AH is truly a fun and loving guy. A hyper-active person too. =D Wanted to search for him after the concert but there were simply too many crowds around the stage. So I left the hall with buddy. Little did I expect him to actually call me! Talked to him for a good few mins over the phone.. yet, he cld remain muddle-headed as to whether I'm huili or Xinhui. *dots* In fact, he's not the only one who mixed the both of us up. Miss Sia and Mrs Chua have this same problem too. Goodness gracious! haha. They saw me and called out,"Xinhui!" And they saw Xinhui and called out,"Huili!" *Laughs*
Anyway, was glad to see my MJ band juniors; Benny, Joel, Eugene, Fuquan (int'l WRM so-called 'Mr Nice Guy') and some others at SCH yesterday night. We were all yakking happily abt Miss Wong a.k.a Wong ML a.k.a Fat Wong. *Laugh out Loud* She has become a hot topic among MJ Economics students wor! ("int'l WRM, arent you glad to hear tt?" haha.) Her 'Good Morning' with her 'ning' sounded so bright and 'Chi-na', her 'beat around the MeRRy bush', her usual 'Yak yak yak' and her 'Don't blur blur come, blur blur go; pot in the frog and frog in the pot.' Hahaa. All of us especially Benny, Joel, Eugene and I were like laughing madly as we revised all her favourite famous phrases. But I was rather surprised tt WML actually encouraged her students to drop Economics which resulted in half of Benny's class population to really do so. Hmmz..*weird* huh? She never did tt to my batch leh. Was it b'cos of last yr's challenging A level Econs paper? No matter what, I guess Miss Wong has really brought lotsa joy and laughter to all her economist students. Suddenly miss all her lectures and her jokes..
