When I stepped into HSBC at 9.00am on Monday morning..
Shirley: "Hey! You looks different today!"
As I walked past the Personal Wealth Managers' desks, I had instantly invited a few stares from some familiar faces which made me feel uncomfortable to the power of infinity. Was wishing so hard den that I din put on any make-ups that landed me in such embarrassing situation. Am too old for any attention for goodness' sake (like how int'l WRM wld always says. *lol*).
Throughout the day, I received one compliment after another. But hopefully they're all truly compliments ya? Oh well. In spite of tt, my choice of colour for the eye shadow was yet mistaken to be an evidence of me crying. *Triple dots* However, thanks to Daphne's advice. I changed it to sky blue today and well, I think I looked much better than the day before! Quite a number of my colleagues shared the same sentiments as me too. =D
Anyhow, I actually worked full day today. And it's New Year's eve for heaven's sake! When I went for my lunch, I've already seen pple carrying their bags and everything heading towards another destination from work happily le..and all I had with me was merely my wallet, tissue and handphone; A tell-tale sign tt I need to return to my work position and continue slogging. *sigh* I dun mind if I'm paid lesser in fact if only I hav the half day break! However, I was grateful to my boss for letting me off early! Suppose to go off at 5plus..but since there wasnt any customers, he allowed me to leave at 4.40pm. Thanks Boss!! ^-^
Oh ya..you know whom I bumped into this afternoon? Peh Lin Yee! What a coincidence lo! We were jus walking towards each other outside Shaw Towers where the outdoor Mac is. He's still the same as ever, but now in army of course. Realised that army guys really like to wear a cap when they hang out! *haha* The other time when I was having S310 gathering, Koh Jiunn Tong wore a white cap to hide his 'botak'. *lol* Tried to remove Lin Yee's black cap and see how he looks like in his new hairstyle. Well..not much of a change since his hair has always been the spiky sort. How nice to see old friends on street like this! Moreover, I happened to see Wing Yan playing with NAFA Chinese Orchestra at Esplanade yesterday too! Another coincidence. Wow! Two coincidences in a week.=)
This yr's reunion dinner wasnt exactly a reunion meal w/o bro's presence. He worked till 10pm and came back a mere hour ago. *sad*
